Platelet to lymphocyte ratio as a prognostic factor for epithelial ovarian cancer
OBJECTIVE To determine whether preoperative platelets to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) could predict disease stage, surgical outcome, and survival in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). METHODS Medical records of EOC patients who had surgery between January 2004 and December 2010 were reviewed. Clinicopathological and complete blood count data were collected. The optimal predictive value ...

Objective To investigate the prognostic significance of preoperative lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR) in elderly patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) receiving primary cytoreductive surgery and adjuvant platinum-based chemotherapy. Methods A total of 42 elderly patients (≥65 years) diagnosed with EOC who are receiving primary cytoreductive surgery and adjuvant platinum-based ...
متن کاملPreoperative Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictive and Prognostic Factor for High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer
OBJECTIVE We aimed to demonstrate the clinical and prognostic significance of the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC). METHODS We retrospectively investigated 875 patients who underwent primary staging or debulking surgery for HGSC between April 2005 and June 2013 at our institution. None of these patients received neoadjuvant chemother...
متن کاملPeripheral blood lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio as a prognostic factor in advanced epithelial ovarian cancer: a multicenter retrospective study
The lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), as a surrogate marker of systemic inflammation, has been found to be a novel prognostic indicator in various malignancies. Data from 672 advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) followed by debulking surgery were analyzed, and the prognostic value of LMR were evaluated. The optimal cutoff point of LMR i...
متن کاملPrognostic significance of preoperative platelet-lymphocyte ratio in a Chinese cohort patient with colorectal cancer
Cancer-related systemic inflammation affects many aspects of malignancy. The platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), an easily applicable inflammatory marker based on platelet and lymphocyte counts, is associated with the clinical outcome of some cancers. The present study aimed to investigate the prognostic significance of the preoperative PLR in a cohort of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. A tot...
